How it’s made
The Daily Inference is a fully automated front page of AI news. Every morning a pipeline gathers the news, ranks it, and Grok Bot writes the summaries. There are no human editors, and nothing is written by hand.
Edition No. 3 · news collected Oct 3, 6:11 AM CT · page built Oct 3, 3:30 PM CT · window: past 48 hours · 16 of 16 summaries written by Grok Bot
The pipeline
- Collect. 31 sources are checked: official company blogs and newsrooms (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Cursor, Mistral, Meta, Microsoft, NVIDIA and others), reputable tech outlets, and Hacker News. Sites without RSS are read from their news pages.
- Dedupe and rank. Items from the past 48 hours (up to 7 days on slow news days) are grouped into stories, tagged by company, and ranked. Official announcements, stories covered by several outlets, and fresh news rank higher.
- Review. Grok Bot reviews the ranked list each morning, merges stories that turn out to be the same news, and writes a short, neutral summary of each one using only the publishers’ own text. If a summary is missing, the page falls back to an excerpt from the source.
- Extras. Grok Bot also writes a one-line “Why it matters” for the top stories, a three-point “In brief”, and logs new model and product releases named in the day’s stories. Reading times are estimates from each article’s length. On Sundays a weekly roundup collects the week’s five highest-ranked stories.
- Publish. A static page is rendered, sanity-checked, and uploaded. If the live page fails verification, the previous edition is restored automatically. Each edition is archived as a snapshot.
Every headline links to its original source, with the source name and real publish time. Read the source for the full story.
Hosting
Plain static HTML with inline CSS and a few lines of JavaScript for the company filter, the light/dark switch and the “New” badges. Your theme choice and the list of stories you have already seen are kept only in your own browser (localStorage); nothing is sent anywhere. No ads, no cookies, no frameworks. Served from Cloudflare R2 behind Cloudflare’s network, which adds its cookieless Web Analytics beacon to pages.
